“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride: I love you because I know no other way than this, in which there is no I or you, so close that your hand on my chest is my hand, so close that when you close your eyes I fall asleep.”
― Pablo Neruda
There is no greater honor to me than being trusted to capture your most special day. The day will breeze by in a flurry of bliss, and what you'll be left with, besides your beloved, is a beautiful dress, a chunk of the yummiest cake in your freezer, and your photos.
When it comes to capturing your special day, you will notice that I am definitely not the life of the party - and I think that's what actually sets my work apart. Don't get me wrong, I'm excellent at giving instruction when needed - especially when it comes to wrangling family for portrait hour.
But for the most part I am an observer, a noticer, a fly on the wall. I am constantly scanning the room, watching expressions, following body movement, so that can I catch that flicker of a look on your dads face when he sees you in your dress for the first time.
One of my favorite "compliments" to get is when I'm asked: "When did you take that?! I didn't even notice you were there!"
There is a delicate balance between not missing the moment and intruding on the moment. I never want take away from a moment - only preserve it for you.
